Last night I ventured back to the city of Leeds with my shiny new camera.
I have listened to Penguin Cafe for many years, enjoying their originality, their love of performing, and how good their music makes me feel.
I was lucky to scoop the only spot photographing their sold out performance at the lovely Grand Theatre in Leeds. It was extremely intimate, polite and atmospheric, not the ideal lighting conditions to photograph in but the perfect one to sit and listen.
It was an exceptional gig, and I loved every second, the musicians were on top form yet again, cracking jokes and making the audience smile with an array of strange instruments and noisy childrens toys.
